Austin Newman Limited was founded in 2004 by Claire Austin and Paul Newman. Claire Austin is a journalist with 20 years experience in public relations and communications. Before establishing her own consultancy she worked in the NHS for 10 years - founding the communications function at both the University Hospital Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust and Birmingham Heartlands and Solihull NHS Trust. She previously led communications at the Chartered Institute of Management and The Independent Schools Information Service. She is a member of the Institute of Public Relations, a Member of the Association of Healthcare Communicators and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
