With more than 20 years of experience in marketing communications and public relations, Gary Good has played a leadership role in major launches by industry leaders, including SBC Communications, Fluke Corporation, Nortel, Agilent, Dialogic, and Baan. He has also assisted a variety of start-ups with external communications and senior-level counsel through their early-growth and IPO stages.Prior to joining Trainer, Gary led technology groups for two international public relations firms, directing the Fleishman-Hillard San Francisco office’s fast-expanding telecommunications group from 1997 to 2001, and GCI Group’s entire technology business in its San Francisco office in 2002. Formerly, he spent seven years providing PR counsel and product-launch services to category-leading firms in networking, semiconductors, engineering development tools, test and measurement, new-product design, and IT services.Ranking near the top of Gary’s accomplishments is his work directing public relations programs for SBC Communications, where he took a leading role in the company’s transformation from “provider of regional telephone services” to “leading global provider of data products and services.” His work was instrumental in helping SBC win Fortune magazine’s title of World’s Most Admired Telecommunications Firm in both 1998 and 1999.
