Hi! Im Jill Whalen, owner of High Rankings. Ive been performing search engine optimization since 1995, and specializing in it since 1997. A few years ago, I helped author and edit MarketingSherpas Buyers Guide to Search Engine Optimization Firms: New 3rd Edition, and a few years before that, I edited the second edition of Chris Ridings PageRank Uncovered whitepaper. I currently own and co-administer the High Rankings Search Engine Optimization forum which became an instant success within days of launching! It currently has over 11,000 registered members and is growing very quickly. Before the High Rankings forum was developed, I was an administrator and moderator of the Google Forum and the Web Page Content/Copywriting forum at the Ihelpyou Search Engine Optimization Forums (before it turned whitehat supremist), and also an administrator/moderator at the Cre8asite SEO, Usability, User Interface, Web Development Forum. I frequently speak to members of the press who are writing articles about search engine optimization, and have been quoted in The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, and in Inc. Magazine. I was featured in the American Marketing Associations trade publication, Marketing News Magazine. and was quoted in a Business 2.0 article entitled, Top of the Heap. In my spare time I write guest expert search engine optimization articles. My articles have appeared at SearchDay, SearchNewz, WebProNews, WorkZ.com, ClickZ.com, Inc.com, Lycos Small Business and many other business Web sites. In addition, Ive guest moderated many of the prestigious Adventive (I-Sales) discussion lists. (Wow, I guess Im pretty busy!) Along with all my search engine optimization duties, Im mother to three wonderful kids, Corie, Jamie and Timmy (who are growing up way too fast), and wife for over 2 decades to my husband, Don.
