1997 - Brent Banda launched the company and began preparing marketing plans for small businesses. Sharing office space with a graphic design firm, Brent quickly learned the value of collaborating with suppliers. 1998 - Banda Marketing Group hired its first employee. This employees accounting background allowed us to draw the financial aspect of business into Strategic Marketing plans. 1999 - Banda Marketing Group moved into new office space, located in a downtown office tower. 1999 - We undertook a project that changed how we work with clients during the strategic development process. Faced with a lack of relevant information, we interviewed our clients key customers and employees. These candid conversations unearthed issues directly relevant to decisions that needed to be made. We immediately adopted this step into our Strategic Marketing development process. 2000 - We won the North Saskatoon Business Associations Small Business Award. 2001 - A prominent Halifax business publication published an article we wrote on marketing strategy. 2001 - We changed our business model. Rather than just preparing marketing plans as independent documents, we began working closely with our clients over a long period of time. The marketing plan became a living document that continuously adapted to changes in the market. Our clients appreciate our long-term support in implementing their plan. 2003 - At the request of our clients, we became even more involved in implementing marketing plans. Our knowledge of the clients business provided us with perspective to work effectively with suppliers when marketing tools needed to be developed, such as a direct mail campaign. We began managing development of these projects on behalf of our clients. 2005 - Two of our clients had a strong showing in Saskatchewans ABEX Awards, placing first in the New Venture and Marketing categories. 2006 - Banda Marketing Group expanded into new office space, located in Saskatoons industrial area.
